VAW was founded in Shanghai, we are a dynamic team of architects and designers. Partners and associates have worked for many years as professional architects in internationally renowned architectural firms, collaborating with each other with both a rigorous professional side and a voyager's sensitivity, vividly experiencing the changes in the environment and expanding the boundary of design from cultural and geographical differences.

We believe that architecture and design are intertwined from multi-dimensional factors. The landscape, ecology, architecture and structure are inextricably linked, while the relationship between people and the environment is the goal of each project, and the individuality of the project depends on a unique design strategy based on rational analysis. Architectural styles come and go, but we have found these principles to be timeless.

As partners, we strive to demonstrate creativity and perceptual feedback. Our priority is to gain insight into our clients' visions and needs without limiting ourselves to presenting our own ideas. We value timeliness, direct communication and professional judgment, not just the so-called pitch presentation and the occasional meeting over a drink or dinner table.

Over the years we have had the privilege of working with many excellent clients on wonderful projects, but we believe that it is too early to define our style of architecture, each building exists in time and its usefulness is related to its continued performance and user perception and feedback.

We are proud to be part of the new wave of contemporary construction in China, but do not agree that past successes can be replicated and that repeating experiences has no place in VAW, and we have always responded to the real needs of different context and future users.

VAW寰宇建筑创立于上海，是活跃的建筑师团队。核心成员曾在国际知名建筑事务所专业设计多年，彼此合作中既持严谨的职业建筑师一面，也保有旅行家敏感度，鲜活地体验环境变化，思辨地从文化地域差异中拓展设计边际。

我们认为建筑与设计来自多维度因素环环相扣。景观，生态，建筑，构造这些环节密不可分，而人与环境的关系是每个项目的目标，项目的个性塑造取决于理性分析下独特的设计策略。建筑风格不断变化，但这些思考原则是永恒的。

作为客户的伙伴，我们努力展示创意和感知对方反馈。VAW首要工作是了解洞察客户的愿景和需求，而不局限彰显自己的想法。我们重视及时性、直接沟通和专业的判断，而不仅是所谓汇报演示，以及偶尔在酒桌上或餐桌上的客套。

多年来，我们有幸与很多优秀的客户在精彩的项目上进行合作，但我们认为定义所谓风格为时尚早，每个建筑存在于时间中，价值来自其持续表现与用户的感受与反馈。

我们很自豪能投身于中国当代建设浪潮，但不认为过去的成功可以复制，重复或唯经验在VAW中没有地位，这里只有连贯的思考原则及变化的设计策略去回应不同背景和未来用户真正需求。
